Hello and Thank you for taking a deeper look at this amazing Yoga Program.  The Amani Center is supporting the community by working with local certified instructors who love Yoga and love working with people just like you.

A few words from our Certified Teachers:

“Yoga is adaptive and accessible to all walks of the population. A good teacher will meet you where you are, and give suggestions for your body. "

There will be several different types of Yoga offered.  Here is an overview of what you can expect:

• Vinyasa Yoga is all about the breath and movement. We intentionally sync breath with movement to create a gentle, flowing practice, integrating music with movement so that it feels seamless and intuitive, like a dance. Vinyasa yoga shares the gifts of breath to open the body to wellness.
• Chair Yoga is a gentle (and often playful) practice that is done seated/using a chair for balance. It welcomes all bodies. Chair yoga is often instructed with  upbeat music, but it can also be experienced as a calming, meditative movement with light and soothing sounds.
• Restorative/Yin yoga, is a practice of stillness and release. By passively holding poses for 2 to 5 minutes each, Yin yoga works to target deep connective tissues. Embracing stillness in Yin yoga allows for catharsis and grounding. Yin is often led with gentle music or sound that allows space for participants to experience themselves by going inward.”
